Discovering Trends in Communication - R U Updated?
Session Id: IH09-RT205 Type: Downloadable
Description
This roundtable will focus on trends in communication methods that all health and safety professionals can use to improve their personal and professional skills. Effective communication with clients, students, associates and management provides "value added" to comprehensive learning, and leads to increased business through more effective marketing and increased productivity. The technology used to convey our communication has evolved as much as any aspect of what we do in providing
services as health and safety professionals. The tools and techniques younger generations of IHs communicate and network with today are different than the way past generations communicated. Recently, there has been a lot of emphasis placed on coaching and mentoring, and communication plays a major role in successful outcomes of those activities. Efficient communication enhances client and work force relationships in multinational situations presented in international markets and
institutions. Emergency response and risk communication can be critical to save lives and alleviate suffering in individual situations and those that affect entire communities.
