Applications requesting support for cancer research at the NCI is at an all time high, while the NIH funding for cancer research is getting scarce. Both the Center for Scientific Review (CSR) and the NCI periodically modify policies and procedures to respond to the increasing numbers of grant applications, accommodate new areas of research, and expand programmatic priorities. Speakers from both NIH components will provide information to help guide investigators through the process of grant preparation and review. This will include an overview of the NCI"s paylines, plans and programs for the year, the electronic submission of grant applications, and other significant changes at CSR and NCI.
