Description

This educational session includes speakers who have extensive experience in the analysis of GWAS and will speak about design of GWAS, quality control studies that are critical for drawing secure statistical inferences from these large-scale studies, and primary analysis of GWAS. One of the speakers will focus on special analytic issues that are relevant for GWAS of data collected through clinical trials. The emphasis will be on information that will be of immediate utility to those who are planning and conducting GWAS. We will have a lengthy panel discussion at the end of the session (30 minutes) to facilitate questions from the audience on challenges that arise in the analysis and interpretation of GWAS.
